It's everyone desire when we pray, we want an instant answer. And the good news is God promises to answer ALL our prayers. Most of the time when our prayers are answered, it's just normal that at such time, it's easy to praise God and return all the credits to Him. Everything seems perfect. But, how about those prayers that seem to get no answer at all? Has God forgotten His own promise? Does He really care and if yes why He didn't answer at times when we think we needed Him the most?
Friends, this reminds me of the story of Lazarus in John 11. This is a truly beautiful instance on how wise God is in meeting our every need. As you know the story, Lazarus, a close friend of Jesus was sick and thus someone was sent to Jesus that He might come as soon as possible to heal Lazarus. Jesus loved Lazarus so much but did He come? No, Jesus didn't come. Why didn't He? Didn't He know that Lazarus was dying and really needed His supernatural power to heal him? Why must wait until all hope is gone? Lazarus finally had died and Jesus still didn't come. What a 'thoughtless' friend we might say.
Praise God that the story does not end there. The perfect plan of God revealed after four days Lazarus was lying in the grave. Jesus did come finally, when according to everyone's estimation it was just too late for Him to do anything about the death. He came and miraculously raised Lazarus from the grave. Lazarus was alive! The miracle and act of grace made far exceedingly greater as compared to healing Lazarus right away..and as the song goes..isn't it great that when He's four days late, He still on time..Remember, God's delays are not God's denials. God's timing is perfect. Patience is what we need in prayer! God bless.
Sesungguhnya Tuhan amat mengerti dan mempedulikan setiap kesulitan dan keperluan hidup kita. Tuhan memberkati...
